Air Fryer Pork Chops

When done right, pork chops are a juicy and satisfying cut, ideal for quick weeknight meals or elegant dinners. The air fryer delivers a crisp crust with minimal oil, while locking in the moisture. a no-fail method for pork perfection.

Ingredients:

  • 2–4 pork chops (loin or rib, bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (*can be substituted with finely minced sautéed garlic)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: a squeeze of fresh lemon juice after cooking

Instructions:

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 195°C (383°F) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Place the pork chops in the basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Professional Tips:

  • Use a meat thermometer for precision — pork is perfectly done at 63°C (145°F).
  • Bone-in chops tend to retain more flavor and moisture.
  • For extra crispiness, lightly coat the chops with panko breadcrumbs before cooking (optional).

Tip for Chicken:

  • Use pork tenderloin medallions instead of chops — reduce cooking time to 10–12 minutes.
  • Add a honey-mustard glaze in the last 2 minutes for a sweet-savory finish.
