1. Wash hands regularly: Ensure that hands are washed thoroughly and often, especially before handling food and after using the restroom.
2. Make sure your fingernails are trimmed and you do not wear jewelry on your hands.
3. Wear appropriate clothing: Wear clean, designated work attire, such as aprons and hairnets, to prevent contamination of food and surfaces.
4. Keep hair tied back: Hair should be tied back and covered with a hairnet to prevent it from coming into contact with food and surfaces.
5. Avoid sneezing or coughing over food: Cover your mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing and wash your hands afterwards.
6. Don’t handle food when sick: If you are feeling unwell, do not handle food or work in the galley. Report to the appropriate authorities for further instructions.
7. Practice good personal hygiene: Keep your personal hygiene to a high standard, including regular bathing, using deodorant, and avoiding smoking or chewing gum in the galley.
